what happened with Morgan Wallen on SNL?
Morgan Wallen was set to perform on Saturday Night Live on October 10, 2020. However, he was removed from the lineup after a video surfaced of him using a racial slur. NBC has not announced who will take his place.
This is not the first time that Wallen has been in trouble for his use of offensive language. In May 2020, he was suspended from his record label for using a homophobic slur.
Wallen issued an apology after the most recent incident, saying “I’m embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and insensitive racial slur that I wish I could take back.” He also said that he was “drunk” and “stupid” at the time of the incident.
It remains to be seen how this will impact Wallen’s career. He was recently nominated for six Country Music Association Awards, including New Artist of the Year. The CMA has not announced if they will take any action against him in light of this incident.
